At the closing ceremony of this project, the president of this country, Bernardo Arevalo, first thanked the government of South Korea and its International Cooperation Agency for the contribution in this regard.
A document -added the head of state- that allows us to take a historic step to improve the quality of life of millions of people, of hundreds of thousands of families, specifically in relation to 16 municipalities of the capital department.
He expressed that this is the beginning of a new path of cooperation with South Korea and expressed his hope that soon they will also be able to strengthen trade ties through the ratification of a free trade agreement that is advancing in Congress.
Arevalo also acknowledged the leadership of the Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing, headed by Miguel Angel Diaz, as well as the coordination of the National Agency for Infrastructure Development.
He underscored the coordination achieved between institutions and warned that when the most important fruits of the decisions adopted now are felt in society, many of those gathered will not be in their posts.
