Mariano Fernandez, its deputy commercial director on the island, is busy with this promotional effort, taking advantage of the event to promote the three four-star hotels that ROC manages in Cuba.
The Spanish hotel company operates Hotel Presidente in Havana, one of the emblematic facilities of Cuban hospitality, located in the residential area of Vedado, near Havana’s famous Malecon seaside, with renovated rooms and panoramic views of the city and the sea.
In Varadero, the executive added, there is the ROC Barlovento, an all-inclusive beachfront hotel for adults over 16, specializing in honeymoons and weddings, and the ROC Arenas Doradas, designed as a family-friendly establishment that can enjoy five restaurants, four bars, and an adjacent golf course.
“We hope to revitalize demand for our hotels at the Fair in this Cuban destination, where the chain works to maintain the quality of service that has earned recognition among guests,” he noted.
The company plans to expand to other tourist destinations on the island, thus expanding its offerings for the average tourist, Fernandez announced. After two days open to the public—Saturday and Sunday—the Fair will be open today, Monday, and Tuesday before the closing, exclusively for business meetings so that professionals can focus on reaching agreements, conventions, and memoranda of intent, thus achieving their objectives.
According to the organizers, the event will host 1,700 exhibitors from Argentina’s 24 provinces and more than 51 countries, and 7,445 business meetings have been confirmed.
