After a tour of the facility, where they visited President Salvador Allende’s office, the two held a private meeting for about an hour, also attended by Government Spokesperson Camila Vallejo.
“It’s always wonderful to return to Chile,” said the singer-songwriter, who first visited the country in 1972 during Allende’s administration and then returned in 1990, after the end of the dictatorship, when he gave a concert at the National Stadium in front of some 80,000 people.
The author of renowned pieces, that has already given two of his four performances on October 29th and 1st, has seen several political figures attending his presentations, among them former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet.
Silvio had to double his concerts after tickets sold out in just a few hours for the Movistar Arena, a venue with a capacity of 17,000 people.
