Diaz-Canel, who is also First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), met with the visitor within the framework of the 3rd International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements taking place in this capital.

Both party leaders reviewed the ties between their organizations and countries. Diaz-Canel underscored, about this issue, the contribution of these exchanges to the ties between Cuba and Belarus, their historical relations, and the development of all bilateral projects.

The Cuban president recalled his visit to Minsk in July and sent greetings to his counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, whom he described as “his friend, his brother.”

Diaz-Canel noted that President Lukashenko is deeply sensitive to the situation in Cuba and has the determination and willingness to support it.

Regarding the current visit, he said the Belaya Rus Party and the PCC will implement collaboration agreements, also considering that the European country’s development model is a benchmark for Cuba.

Chemodanova highlighted the respect that defines their relations while reaffirming the close friendship between both parties, governments, and peoples, as well as between the presidents.
