According to Valdes, the event took place in Baku, and representatives from the Caribbean nation participated at the invitation of the Vice President of the New Azerbaijan Party, Mr. Tahir Budagov, the host of the event.

The meeting, which brought together senior representatives of the main political parties of Azerbaijan, Cambodia, China, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Turkiye, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, was also attended by Cuba and Serbia as invited political organizations.

The sessions of this fourth meeting of the Asian Cultural Council of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties were held under the theme “From National Diversity to Global Sovereignty: The Role of Culture in the New World Order.”

The diplomat stated that the event was an opportunity to exchange information about the Cuban reality with the attending party leaders, as well as to show the firm demand for the lifting of the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba.
