Gonzalez arrived in Cairo to participate in the opening session of the second period of session of the fourth legislature of the AP, the statement explained.
The text specified that Al-Yamahi praised on Wednesday the stance of several Latin American countries in support of Arab causes, especially the Palestinians, who suffer under Israeli occupation.
He also urged the Parlatino to contribute to mobilizing global support for the reconstruction efforts of the coastal enclave, devastated after two years of aggression, and to endorse a conference about this issue to be held in Egypt next month.
Gonzalez, in turn, urged progress on joint projects that address global challenges, particularly in areas such as climate action and food loss and waste.
The document noted that both parties also reviewed the progress of bilateral cooperation under a memorandum of understanding signed in July.
