Latin America sees increased hotel construction

London, Nov 4 (Prensa Latina) Lodging Econometrics (LE) presented a trends report indicating that Latin America added 751 hotel construction projects and 116,480 rooms in the third quarter of the year.

LE, headquartered in Portsmouth, USA, indicated that these figures represent a 17% increase in projects and an 11% increase in rooms compared to the same period last year.

This is one of the main conclusions of the report on the construction project pipeline trends in the region from July to September 2025, prepared by Lodging Econometrics (LE), which shows that the region is experiencing stable growth in the hotel sector.

At the close of the third quarter, the countries that make up Latin America had 28 hotel projects under construction with 5,083 rooms and also registered the renovation of 173 projects with 29,200 rooms.

By geographic region, Mexico leads the way, reaching a historic record with 264 hotel projects under construction and 40,412 rooms, representing 35% of the total.

It is followed by Brazil with 123 projects and 16,272 rooms, a 19% increase, and the Dominican Republic with 81 projects and 17,351 rooms, representing a 37% increase in hotel construction and a 20% increase in the number of rooms.
