Fattouh stated in a press release that the ongoing raids and demolition plans targeting the homes of Palestinians in the village of Umm al-Khair, along with livestock theft and deforestation, confirm the colonial approach and ethnic cleansing aimed at displacing the Palestinian population and uprooting them from their lands.
The PNC chief held the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responsible for the violence in the West Bank, which, he noted, is the target of a policy of colonization, displacement of people, and land expropriation.
Israel is pursuing a “silent annexation and Judaization” of that territory, warned the PNC chairman, who demanded an immediate and definitive halt to the demolition orders and the arrest of the settlers who conducted those attacks.
Fattouh asserted that such crimes are organized State terrorism, as well as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and agreements, including the Geneva Conventions.
