“There is a Technical Legal Commission working on many measures, not just one issue. This Technical Legal Commission is also, of course, measuring the implementation timelines,” assured the president of Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), Yussuf Akly, in an interview with the media outlet Fama, Poder y Ganas.
The official anticipated that this package will encompass a set of actions to reverse the current national situation, which has already begun to see the normalization of fuel supplies and the drop in the parallel exchange rate of the dollar, which hovered around 20 bolivianos and now fluctuates around 10.
Akly stated that they are “working on important reforms for all aspects of the economy, not just fuel, and that President Rodrigo Paz will obviously announce them.
We believe these will be very important measures for the country and that they will be implemented in the coming weeks.”
He indicated that these changes will be based on the pillars of the national pla of President Paz: “Bolivia in the world and the world in Bolivia; capitalism for all; the end of the obstructive state; and the 50/50 distribution of economic and human resources between the central government and the regions.”
