Officials from the Ministry of Communications (Mincom) and other ministries confirmed the event will take place from November 20 to 30 under the slogan “Cybersecurity for All.”
Cecilia Valdes, Institutional Director of Mincom, said that this edition is more inclusive and participatory, involving Central State Administration Bodies (OACE), academic and educational institutions, the business and public sectors, as well as social and mass organizations.
Among the main proposals of the event are technical workshops on critical infrastructure protection, incident management, and current regulations.
The Fourth National Cybersecurity Day in Cuba will officially begin on the 20th with special morning sessions throughout the country and the national headquarters at Osvaldo Herrera Technological Institute in Plaza de la Revolución municipality of Havana.
The program includes cyberattack response drills for key entities, cybersecurity in everyday life (passwords, phishing, social media, etc.), and educational talks in schools and universities.
Organizers also announced contests for drawing, memes, infographics, posters, short videos, and podcasts on cybersecurity for children, teenagers, and young adults, along with open house events and community forums.
