The report, on the Workplace Happiness Index was presented by the consulting firm SSOL, the Montevideo Institute of Business Studies, and the professional services firm CPA Ferrere.
The survey points out that 42 percent of workers are moderately happy, while five percent reach optimal levels of job well-being, reports the website Ambito.
It adds that 47 percent of workers are actively seeking a job change.
The study, conducted between June and July of this year, surveyed 3,284 people working in various industries and analyzed several dimensions related to well-being.
It concludes that the factors that most influence employee happiness include, among other things, work flexibility, days off, infrastructure, camaraderie, and teamwork.
