“We welcome the efforts of the administration of US President Donald Trump to seek reasonable solutions. Various drafts of this plan represent a moment for negotiation,” the high-ranking diplomat emphasized to the press this Wednesday.
“There can be no talk of any kind of concessions, of backtracking on our position regarding key details for resolving the tasks we have, including the special military operation,” he asserted.
The Deputy Foreign Minister reiterated that Russia’s position has been consistent from the beginning.
“It addresses different aspects of the current situation and focuses on the causes of the crisis, which we have been facing for a long time,” he affirmed.
Riabkov said that “various elements of Anchorage are concessions in themselves,” something that Russian President Vladimir Putin had already stated.
“This is what we will base our analysis on when we verify, study, and address the version that is on the table, or that may be on the table,” he added.
