In a message published on the social network X, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed sincere congratulations to the Thai people and government on the occasion of the national celebration and renewed its willingness to deepen ties of mutual cooperation.
Thailand’s National Day is celebrated every year on December 5, when the citizens of the kingdom commemorate Father’s Day and honour the memory of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (Rama IX), who was born on December 5, 1927.
Bangkok and Havana established diplomatic relations on May 15, 1958.
