Perez conveyed to Prensa Latina the message from the Belarusian parliament’s working group on cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Cuba, expressing its deep concern about the alarming trends that undermine the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The document states, “We observe with deep concern the events surrounding the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the actions that constitute a flagrant violation of sovereignty and the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of independent states.”
The statement also notes that the political demands against Cuba and several sovereign Latin American countries are worrying, adding that such rhetoric, aimed at revising the established world order and promoting the logic of force and ultimatums, poses a direct threat to global and regional stability, sowing the seeds of new conflicts.
We Belarusians, who have lived through the horrors of two world wars on our soil, as active supporters of the formation of a multipolar world based on justice and equality, reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the principles of the sovereign equality of all states, the message emphasizes.
They also urge the parliaments of all countries to defend the fundamental international regulations.
