Garcia said that the transformations in the country’s economic life are elements to consider during these very difficult times for the nation, alluding to the obstacles imposed by the United States against Cuba (the embargo).
He highlighted the new possibility for Cubans residing abroad to invest in Cuban tourism, in any form and with even new incentives.
He extoled the availability of attractive hotel leases that can contribute to the development of Cuban tourism. The Minister highlighted the importance of partnerships with various stakeholders, including micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), which will enrich the offerings and improve the quality of services.
He reiterated his gratitude to the foreign chains that continue operating on the island, to those who are committed to Cuba, and extended an invitation to those who are currently unable to join the island due to pressures, but who will soon be able to do so.
Garcia also emphasized his appreciation to the foreign chains that continue operating in Cuba despite the pressures.
The Minister expressed particular gratitude to the workers in the island’s tourism sector for continuing to work under difficult conditions, with the goal of moving forward in this engine of development that is tourism.
