Talks between Putin and Lukashenko will focus on integration

Moscow, Sep 8 (Prensa Latina) Integration will be the center of tomorrow's talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart, Alexandr Lukashenko, in this capital, although they will also address the situation in Afghanistan, the Kremlin reported on Wednesday.

The Presidency’s press officer, Dmitri Peskov, confirmed that the conflict in the Central Asian nation will be part of the talks as it is one of the key issues on the regional and international agenda.

He noted that it is not planned the signing of any documents after the talks, including those related to the integration between the two countries within the State of the Union, or on other issues about the development of relations between Moscow and Minsk.

Peskov said that during the meeting they will look into issues that will be discussed at the next summit of the Common Security Treaty Organization in Dushanbe, including the impact of the Afghan situation on the region.

On September 1, Lukashenko said in Minsk that during the exchange with Putin this Thursday, they will approve State of the Union programs between the two countries that will be presented to the Supreme Council of State in October.
