Iranian Spanish-language TV station opposes US blockade against Cuba

HispanTV-y-cuba-300x169
Tehran, Apr 1 (Prensa Latina) The Iranian Spanish-language station HispanTV is adding its presentations to the "media marathon against the blockade of Cuba" that started on Friday, a campaign promoted by a European Cuba solidarity group.

The Iranian TV station announced its adherence to the call to “express its repudiation of the blockades and sanctions imposed by the United States against independent countries.”

The initiative has been promoted by the Europe for Cuba movement since January, with the main objective of carrying out actions of solidarity with the Caribbean island and denouncing the unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States since 1962 against Cuba.

Media and organizations from several countries will participate in the call, scheduled for this weekend (April 2 and 3), during 24 uninterrupted hours of broadcasts rejecting the US blockade on radio, television, the written press and social networks.

HispanTV confirmed that it will analyze the blockades and obstacles that Washington has enforced against developing nations, which also have the media manipulation of conglomerates aligned with the West.

Among the channel’s examples, Iran’s case is especially noted, since the country has made significant progress in all aspects despite sanctions, and two programs for analysis and opinion will be dedicated to reflecting on this reality.

The Detras de la Razon program will add the voices of experts on the subject to examine “in detail” all the cases of the US unilateral blockade against other States, in particular the case of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In addition, the El Frasco program, media without a cure will have two special broadcasts dedicated to reviewing how the issue is approached by various alternative and traditional spaces.
