In a press release, the military portfolio of the Eurasian giant specified that its exchanged troops are in Belarussian territory, where they receive the necessary psychological and medical assistance, and have the opportunity to contact their families.
They also detailed that the soldiers will be transferred to Russia to receive treatment and rehabilitation in medical centers of the Ministry of Defense.
The document from the Russian military department noted that the United Arab Emirates provided humanitarian assistance as mediators to achieve the return of those detained by Ukraine.
The previous prisoner exchange between Moscow and Kyiv took place on January 5, when 25 soldiers returned from Ukrainian captivity, while the same number of servicemen were handed over to the Ukrainian authorities.
