A highlight will be a panel discussion on strategies to promote peace, climate resilience, and cooperation in the Greater Caribbean, with an emphasis on innovative financing mechanisms for sustainable development.
Discussions will also address the role of the Caribbean as a zone of peace, the need for climate change adaptation and mitigation solutions, and opportunities to access international funds to tackle the region’s economic and environmental challenges.
The new Strategic Vision of the ACS, to strengthen regional integration and promoting sustainable development, is also scheduled to be presented during the day.
The key pillars of this vision will be addressed, highlighting concrete actions to confront common challenges and enhance cooperation in the Greater Caribbean.
The meeting will also include the approval of the Boards of Directors of the organization.
This assembly precedes the X Summit of Heads of State and/or Government of the member countries of the ACS, which will take place tomorrow in the northern city of Montería.
