De Lima Massano, who gave the keynote speech at the opening of the fifth edition of the International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies, Angotic 2025, did not specify whether the country is growing compared to the previous year. For the government representative, Angotic 2025 has special significance, as it is being held in the year of the 50th anniversary of national independence.
He said that it is not only a celebration of the results achieved in recent years, but also a reiteration of the Executive’s commitment to the development of this area and the ambition for a future based on innovation and inclusion.
The minister highlighted the investments made in the modernization of public services, the expansion of digital services, and the training of young people to take on the challenges posed by the rapid progress of technologies.
He recalled that the country is working with clear objectives, such as the expansion of digital technologies and internet access throughout the national territory, as well as the modernization of public services, among others.
Angotic 2025 is a living expression of the commitment to these goals, he said, and also to the creation of real opportunities for all.
He added that it is a call to action, so that technology becomes a means to combat inequalities, create jobs, and have more efficient services.
The Minister of Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies (Minttics), Mário Oliveira, for his part, assured that Angola is moving towards the expansion of its telecommunications infrastructure and the implementation of digital terrestrial television.
