According to the media outlet, a private helicopter picked up four Americans in Vouliagmeni the day before and was to fly with them to the island of Mykonos.
But before it could gain altitude, it crashed seconds after takeoff.
Following the pilot’s instructions, the passengers got out of the helicopter on their own, the TV channel quoted Greek authorities as reporting that all passengers are safe, while the tourists refused medical assistance.
Meanwhile, a technical team of rescuers and divers are working on the rescue of the helicopter that fell into the sea.
According to experts, the most probable cause of the accident was the overloading of the helicopter.
The helicopter was certified to carry five people, including the pilot, but it is possible that its capacity was limited due to its age.
