The Defense Ministry’s Press Department informed that the Syrian army repelled an attempted attack on a military deployment point near Al-Qajariya, as part of an offensive described by Damascus authorities as unjustifiable.
The Ministry indicated that the attack left four soldiers and three civilians injured, in addition to causing material damage to homes in the area.
It added that, in response, army units carried out precision strikes on identified fire sources.
Meanwhile, the ANHA news agency, close to the SDF, offered a different version of events.
According to its reports, armed groups linked to the Transitional Government intensified their provocations in contact zones, particularly in Deir Hafer, southeast of Aleppo, which was also targeted by shelling on Saturday evening.
The SDF accused these groups of carrying out a dangerous escalation by firing more than 10 artillery shells at residential areas, causing panic among the civilian population, and justified their response with heavy weapons as a legitimate exercise of self-defense.
