Palestine urges the world to stop Israeli settlers’ attacks

Ramallah, Aug 20 (Prensa Latina) The Palestinian Foreign Ministry urged on Wednesday the world to take binding action to stop attacks by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, which violate international laws and regulations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced in a statement that such crimes are part of a plan to control Palestinian land by force of arms and under the protection of the Palestinian Army and Police.

The diplomatic institution also condemned the annexation plans of the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which include land theft and the expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

It underscored, “All unilateral occupation measures are illegal and grant no legitimacy or right, under international law and United Nations resolutions.”

The Ministry reiterated the call for decisive global action to protect the opportunity to implement the two-state solution and end the crimes of genocide, forced displacement, famine, and annexation against our people.

Official data states that more than 750,000 Israeli settlers currently live in the West Bank, spread across 180 settlements and 256 outposts.
