Belarus and Cuba interested in creating joint ventures

Minsk, Oct 1 (Prensa Latina) Belarus is interested in creating joint ventures with Cuba, Belarus's Deputy Prime Minister, Viktor Karankevich, said during a meeting with Cuban Industry Minister Eloy Alvarez.

According to the BelTA news agency on Wednesday, the meeting took place within the framework of the INNOPROM Belarus international trade fair, which is taking place in the European nation.

“Since the days of the Soviet Union, Cuba has been a reliable partner and friend for us in all areas of mutually beneficial cooperation. We always communicate very cordially, based solely on openness and complete trust,” Karankevich emphasized.

The official also noted that the heads of both states attach a high level to bilateral relations, which is why it is necessary to do everything possible. We must do everything possible to ensure the implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of our countries.

Public administration bodies and economic entities have a clear goal of continuing mutually beneficial cooperation, expanding the range of supplied products, creating joint ventures, and expanding industrial cooperation, he stated.

Klarankevich emphasized that the official visit of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel to Belarus this year provided additional impetus to the development of relations between the two countries.

We are ready to consider all issues of interest to our friendly and brotherly country, Cuba, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized. For his part, Álvarez also highlighted the high level of friendly relations with Belarus.
