Hamas and Palestinian groups present observations on Trump’s plan

Ramallah, Oct 2 (Prensa Latina) The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian groups presented observations on several points of a plan announced by US President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza, Al Hadath TV reported.

The Saudi media outlet stated, “The factions affirmed that the plan presented to Arab leaders differs from the one they received.”

Regional leaders met last week with Trump at the White House, and agreed on a plan to end the conflict, although the Palestinians claim the initiative was modified after a meeting between the president and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a few days later.

Palestinian sources were concerned about some of the proposal’s “vague provisions” and indicated that the factions expressed criticism of it, Al Hadath noted.

They cited, among them, the need for clear guarantees regarding Israel’s commitment to a ceasefire and linking the release of prisoners to a timeline for the Army’s withdrawal for fear of repeating “the experience in Lebanon,” which remains under attack 11 months after the end of the aggression.

Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) strongly condemned the agreement presented by Trump, although the Movement promised to study it before presenting its response “in a few days.”
