The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates accused the neighboring country in a statement of committing crimes and waging a war of extermination against the coastal enclave, home to more than two million people.
The text denounced the wave of recent attacks that killed 22 Palestinians “in flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and regulations.”
The document underscored that the continuation of this aggressive policy is a conclusive proof that the far-right government of the occupying state is working to undermine the prospects for peace.
Additionally, it denounced Israel’s attempt to impose “brutal policies on the ground, disregarding the most basic principles of human rights and international law.”
Given this situation, the Foreign Ministry called on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and the countries guaranteeing the ceasefire, especially the United States, to assume their responsibilities.
