Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian said, “I would like to reiterate that China firmly supports Cuba in safeguarding its national sovereignty and security.”

China strongly rejected “any inhumane action or practice that deprives the Cuban people of their right to survival and development.”

Lin Jian stated that China will continue to support and aid Cuba.

The Foreign Ministry declared, for two consecutive days this week, its firm support for the Caribbean nation amid the tightened blockade and economic measures imposed by the United States to stifle it.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi praised the tenacious struggle and courage of the Cuban people in their defiance of US hegemony, as well as the international respect earned by the island.
