On X, Tiruneh thanked Shettima and his high-level delegation for the visit to learn about the tangible results achieved through the Seqota Declaration.
The Seqota Declaration is a 15-year commitment by the Ethiopian government in 2015 to eradicate chronic malnutrition and childhood stunting in children under two by 2030.
The deputy prime minister admitted that the Nigerian vice president’s responsibility to improve nutrition in his country is an example of leadership for the continent.
Tiruneh said, “Ethiopia and Nigeria are bound by a strategic partnership. When the two countries’ significant population and economic potential are mobilized in a coordinated manner, they further strengthen the capacity to shape Africa’s future positively.”
