During a regular press briefing, Mao noted that the situation un Gaza Strip and the West Bank remains tense and underscored that regional conflicts should not divert the attention of the international community from the Palestinian issue.

The official indicated that the ceasefire agreement in Gaza must be implemented effectively and that humanitarian access must be fully guaranteed.

She remembered that Chinese President Xi Jinping recently proposed four principles to boost a solution to the Palestinian issue: defend the two-state solution, support the principle that Palestinians can run Palestine, keep humanitarian commitment, and boost equity and justice.

Mao stated that China will continue to uphold international justice and firmly support the two-state solution, together with all peace-loving countries to achieve a comprehensive, just, and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue.
