Solidarity with Cuban medical collaboration reiterated in Brazil
Brasilia, May 1 (Prensa Latina) The Brazil-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group reiterated this Friday its solidarity with the example of the medical collaboration that Cuba has been providing humanly to the world for almost six decades.
Composed of 65 deputies and 12 senators, the group indicates in a note that 'it supports all initiatives aimed at recognizing the internationalist, humanitarian and fraternal solidarity of Cuba's medical services'.
It specifies that it not only supports the humanitarian action of Cuban health professionals at 'this moment of pandemic world calamity, but throughout the course of its victorious Revolution'.
The text, signed by the president of the group, Deputy Lidice da Mata, of the Brazilian Socialist Party, insists that 'it is an acknowledgement that we make as a chair, since in countless moments the Brazilian people received this medical attention from the sister Caribbean nation'.
At the same time, it continues, 'we remain convinced that there is no place in the world for the nefarious and inhumane blockade by the United States against Cuba and, therefore, its most urgent repeal is necessary'.
