New restrictions in northern England due to fresh Covid-19 outbreaks
London, Jul 31 (Prensa Latina) The British Government on Friday reestablished social distancing in several cities in northern England, where an increase in Covid-19 cases has been reported in recent days.
The new measure, announced on social networks shortly before midnight, bans people from different family groups to meet under the same roof in Manchester and the counties of East Lancashire and West Yorkshire.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock on Friday defended the restrictions, which also affect the city of Leicester, which have been in quarantine for several weeks, and noted that it was an 'absolutely necessary' decision.
