Three other oil fields discovered in Mexico
31 de julio de 2020, 15:34Mexico, Jul 31 (Prensa Latina) Mexico's National Hydrocarbons Commission confirmed on Friday the discoveries of three deposits and strong evidence of hydrocarbon accumulation in four other wells in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the Southeast basin.
According to a statement, in 2020, Pemex Exploration and Production (PEP) discovered resources for 227 million barrels of crude oil and 624 million cubic feet of gas. Contractors informed they have discovered resources for 418 million oil and 92 billion cubic feet of gas.
According to the text, during April-June quarter of 2020, PEP allocation in shallow waters of the Southeast basins in the Uchukil and Chejekbal-1EXP wells has resources estimated at 32 million barrels of oil, 42.7° API, and 21 billion cubic feet of gas.
Additionally, two discoveries located in the Southeast basins, the Polok-1EXP and Chinwol-1EXP wells, were ratified in deep waters, operated by Repsol.
The resources in the Polok-1EXP well are estimated at 187 million barrels of oil and 24 billion cubic feet of gas; and in case of the Chinwol-1EXP well, they are at 88 million oil.
