Iran's Foreign Minister condemns Europe, US for harboring terrorists
Tehran, Aug 2 (Prensa Latina) Iran's foreign minister, Mohammad Yavad Zarif, condemned Europe and the United States for providing refuge to terrorists and promoting hatred and chaos.
Zarif issued a message on social networks, which was also broadcasted by local media, specifying that these extremists organize murders and sabotage, which they later brag about.
They promote hatred, conduct campaigns and organize murders and mayhem from their safe havens in the United States and Europe, and then blatantly claim responsibility for the murder of innocent civilians, he said.
The head of Iranian diplomacy commented on the recent capture of Yamshid Sharmahd, head of an extremist group called Tondar, whose HQ is located in the United States.
'The West must stop sheltering terrorists,' he said.
Along the same line, Zarif urged Western governments to stop financing and harboring terrorists, which contradicts the much-vaunted defense of human rights promoted by both Europe and the United States.
The smoke screens cannot hide the hypocrisy of those who give sermons on democracy and human rights, Zarif said.
Zarif pointed to Albania as one of the safe havens for extremist elements acting against Iran; there is a base of the terrorist group Mujahideen Jalq (MKO) in that country which buys the silence of U.S. authorities with money from Arab monarchies, including Saudi Arabia, as the Iranian Foreign Minister revealed.
