Russian fighter intercepts flight of spy aircrafts in the Black Sea
Moscow, Aug 5 (Prensa Latina) A Russian SU-27 fighter intercepted the flight of the US spy RC-135 and P-8 Poseidon aircrafts, near the Crimean coast, in a neutral zone on the Black Sea, the Ministry of Defense reported.
The monitoring means of the Southern Military District detected the targets that were approaching the national airspace and an SU-27 was sent for their interception, explained the aforementioned ministry.
The report of the Ministry of Defense verifies that, after making sure of the change of the course of the US planes to move away from the limits of the Russian State, the combat fighter returned without difficulties to its base.
Media outlets recall warnings from the Russian general staff earlier this year about the considerable rise in espionage flights and provocations with aircraft, including strategic bombers near the country's borders.
On Tuesday, a Russian MIG-31 fighter-interceptor tracked the flight of two Norwegian aircraft over the Barentz Sea basin until they were sure they were moving away from the State border.
On July 31, another SU-27 fighter intercepted a US spy plane on a flight over the Black Sea to prevent its entry into the airspace of this country, without violating security protocols for these cases.
According to the National Defense Direction Center, after accompanying the US air force until it was forced to move away from the Russian border, the SU-27 returned without any problem to its permanent base.
