Lula demands to open Bolsonaro's impeachment process in Brazil
Brasilia, Aug 6 (Prensa Latina) Former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva demanded on Thursday the head of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies, Rodrigo Maia, to open a process of impeachment against far-right President Jair Bolsonaro.
'Those who read Piaui magazine know that Bolsonaro deemed to disintegrate the STF (Supreme Federal Court). He thinks that Brazil is his. It is time to vote for the impeachment. There are over 46 requests and Rodrigo Maia does not put any voting,' tweeted the founder of the Workers' Party.
The Piaui report stood out another reason why Bolsonaro must be removed from Presidency by releasing that the former Army captain considered sending military personnel to close the STF.
The brief also highlights that the idea of intervening in the STF was formulated during a meeting with the military ministers Walter Braga Neto (Civil House), Luiz Eduardo Ramos (Government Secretariat) and Augusto Heleno (Office of Institutional Security).
The former trade union leader expressed that he lived in a world where people 'cheered on the different teams, each went to their own church, and at the end of the day they could sit at the same table and respect each other. Then, the world gave birth to Bolsonaro to disrupt peace.'
'I believe that this world in harmony is possible because I have lived it,' Lula stressed.
