Cuban and Senegalese parliamentarians exchange views on Covid-19
Havana, Nov 24 (Prensa Latina) Parliamentarians from Cuba and Senegal held a virtual exchange on Covid-19 prevention and confrontation on Tusday, as well as on international cooperation in health matters.
During the meeting, Ana María Mari, vice president of Cuba's Assembly National People's Power, tweeted the significance of actions so as to strengthen the relations between both nations.
Cuba's experiences to fight the pandemic, with the implementation of health and patient care protocols, the use of science, in addition to new drugs, were also addressed at the meeting.
The President of the Cuban Parliamentary Commission for Health and Sports, Cristina Luna, referred to the lawmakers'´ involvement in implementing the country's strategy, and also explained the work (in conjunction with health authorities) on monitoring and controlling its compliance.
Also present at the meeting was Lawmakers Yolanda Ferrer and Arelys Santana, presidents of Parliament's working committees for International Relations and Attention to Youth, Children and Equal Rights of Women, respectively.
