Caracas, Jan 21 (Prensa Latina) Diosdado Cabello, first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), questioned Pedro Sanchez, president of the Spanish Government, for his criticism of Venezuela, while he shelters fugitive Leopoldo Lopez. 'You meddle with Venezuela, Pedro Sanchez, when the monster is in your country, you are protecting a murderer and meet with him. Those who rule Spain should be ashamed,' the socialist leader said on Wednesday on his regular TV program Con El Mazo Dando.
Cabello recalled that Venezuela has always respected the sovereignty of other countries.
'Venezuela is a free homeland that does not depend on any empire, we have always asked for respect for the peoples' right to decide their destiny, it is a matter of historic resistance, struggle for independence, we are free, we are sovereign. We will overcome!' the PSUV leader stressed.
The decision by a US court to seize CITGO Petroleum, a subsidiary of the state-owned oil company Petroleos de Venezuela S.A., responds to negotiations made by former opposition legislator Juan Guaido with the administration of former US President Donald Trump to strip Venezuela of its assets, he said.
Cabello stated that Jose Ignacio Hernandez, a false prosecutor for the fictitious government of Guan Guaido, was part of the team of the transnational mining company Crystallex and ruled against Venezuela.
'What Guaido and his team did was precisely to sell the company and keep the crumbs the empire gave them in US dollars, as the masters of the Apure Valley did long for a long time while they looted Venezuela,' Cabello stated.
