As a candidate for president in 2016, Donald Trump promised to stop wasting American blood and treasure on wars in West Asia.

US President Joe Biden can choose a better path, he suggested, by putting an end to Trump's failed policy of maximum pressure and return to the agreement.
If he does so, Iran will also return to full implementation of its commitments under the treaty, but, if instead, they insist on getting concessions, that opportunity will be lost.
