Cuban baseball resumes training for international games
Havana, Apr 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's baseball pre-selections resumed training on Monday with a view to the Caribbean Cup and the pre-Olympic of the Americas.
According to JIT website, the group of Cuban baseball players returned to practice, in the nearby city of Matanzas, after learning the negative results of the second PCR tests for the diagnosis of Covid-19.
Last week, the National Baseball Commission notified the detection of a Covid-19 case among the members of the technical staff of the pre-selection teams, which led to the pause in training in compliance with the established sanitary protocols.
The afflicted was taken to hospital for medical treatment and the rest of the players remained in isolation and underwent epidemiological studies, which ended up being negative, the publication added.
The third edition of the Caribbean Cup will take place from May 8 to 15 in Willemstad, capital of Curacao.
