Egypt willing to collaborate with Iraq in security matters
Cairo, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) Egypt has reiterated its willingness to collaborate with Iraq in its efforts to achieve the internal stability, facing the upsurge of Islamic State attacks, an official source stated on Thursday.
The issue was discussed during a meeting held on Wednesday between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and Mohammed al-Halbousi, Speaker of the Iraqi House of Representatives (Parliament), Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
During the dialogue, the president reaffirmed Cairo's full willingness to exchange experience and support the Iraqi Government on this and other issues, Rady stressed.
He also rejected any foreign interference in the internal affairs of the Mesopotamian country.
For his part, Al-Halbousi thanked the Egyptian support and called to strengthen the bilateral ties.
