When there are only seven days left for the elections, slated for April 11, the National Electoral Council (CNE) finishes off, while the Emergency Operations Committee (COE) applies health protocols against the disease.
In this context, the 24 provinces of the country carried out an electoral drill this last week, allowing to see how proceedings, logistics and biosafety plan for next Sunday are progressing.
The epidemiological situation has worsened and COE gave the green light to the declaration of a focused state of exception, a measure ordered by Executive Decree in eight provinces (Azuay, Guayas, El Oro, Esmeraldas, Manabí, Pichincha, Loja and Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas).
