The National Journalist’s Day is celebrated as a tribute to the publication in 1821 of El Telegrafo Constitucional, the country’s first newspaper, directed by Antonio Pineda and the collaboration of Jose Nuñez de Caceres.

This nation’s journalists will remember the date, by paying a deserving homage day, which will conclude on April 29 with the First Semi-Virtual Congress of the Dominican College of Journalists.
