On Twitter, Luis Pedroso pointed out that from March 2019 to May 2020, Cuba´s transportation sector has been damaged for more than US$312 million. The US blockade regulations, particularly the measures adopted in 2019 by Washington in order to blockade Cuba, had a devastating impact on transportation sector.
Pedroso, for example, added that Consultores Marítimos S.A. Company reported US$160,000 losses due to cancellation of authorizations for cruise companies to operate in Cuba.
Due to the tightening of the US blockade it could not be possible to acquire B-100 aviation fuel slated for August, September and October 2019.
