Turkey imposes curfew due to Covid-19

Ankara, Apr 23 (Prensa Latina) Turkey on Thursday imposed a four-day curfew to reduce the spread of coronavirus in the country, according to the Anadolu News Agency.

The curfew will be in force from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. local time, and it will run through coming Monday, including National Independence Day and Children’s Day, Turkey´s Interior Ministry reported.

In addition, local authorities ban all gathering during the aforementioned dates, except for official solemn acts. Online activities will be only carried out, the government said.

Turkey has reported a total of 4,446,591 coronavirus cases since February 2020, including 36,975 deaths.
