The source quoted statements by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif about the possibility of a positive reaction from the Government of President Joe Biden.

Zarif was hopeful about Washington’s interest in returning to the JCPOA, although Iran will uphold its demands.

In Vienna, Austria, representatives of Tehran and the signatories of the nuclear deal (the United Kingdom, France, Russia, China plus Germany) are trying to save the agreement, which is considered a milestone in international diplomacy.

The central issue, according to the Iranian vision, consists of lifting of the US sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic, after Washington withdrew from the deal at the request of former President Donald Trump.
