The event is sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, a UN entity, and will run for two days with debates dedicated to topics such as sustainable use of soils, conservation of forests and marine ecosystems, and financing for ecological projects.

According to the organizers, the purpose is to find ways to involve companies to actively participate in the safeguarding of natural resources and support the global efforts and programs implemented in that direction.

China plans to host COP-15 from October 11th to 24th, but everything will depend on how the international health situation evolves by then.

This event will aim to shape the global agenda with the goals to be achieved by 2030 in the conservation of biodiversity.

According to the Government, China will also seek to include issues on the sustainable, shared and balanced use of natural resources.
