Just few hours of the beginning of the 15th Meeting of Cuban Residents in Europe (ECRE), organized this year in France, they announced that during Saturday’s forum, they will condemn the economic, commercial and financial siege implemented by Washington for more than six decades.

In a dialogue with Prensa Latina, Osvaldo Rodriguez, president of Marti’s Association of Cuban Residents in the Czech Republic, considered the meeting very important and the opportunity it represents to reiterate support for the Caribbean country and the repudiation to the blockade.

Covid-19 forces us to meet virtually, without this preventing us from ratifying our positions, and in the current health crisis, this event allows us recognizing everything Cuba has done to fight the disease, such as the development of the five vaccine candidates, he stressed.

Organizers of the 15th edition of ECRE, meetings that precisely started in France in 2006, mentioned the defense of Cuba’s sovereignty and independence and the rejection to the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States as the main issues on the forum’s agenda.
