Addressing virtually with the participants in the Conference of Heads of Prosecutor’s Offices of European States, based in Saint Petersburg, the president pointed out that such challenges require the greatest attention from the countries and the corresponding authorities.
‘Stability, order in society, and the sustainable development of our States and the entire continent depend on how effectively we can respond to them,’ Putin said, according to the Kremlin.
In this regard, he stressed that the Prosecutor’s Office works actively in all these areas, ‘making a significant contribution to the development of Russia as a legal democratic state and oriented towards society.’
Putin assessed that the protection of citizens’ rights in accordance with the principles of the European Convention on Human Rights is among the issues on the meeting’s agenda.
