In a note, the MLCP-Br ‘vehemently condemns the acts of counterrevolutionary agents financed by eternal enemies of the Cuban people and their sovereignty’, who starred in a media theater to try to destroy everyone, amid the efforts against the Covid 19 pandemic.
The political organization points out that the United States ‘shows, once again, its cruelty and vileness by perpetrating a new attempt to destabilize the country during a historic pandemic and after intensifying the genocidal blockade against the Cuban people for more than 60 years.’
It assures that ‘the core country of imperialism hypocritically presents itself as a savior, even after showing more than 600 thousand deaths from Covid-19, high rates of unemployment and poverty.’
If they want the best for Cuba, the party asks: ‘Why don’t they remove the blockade, as recently demanded by 184 of the 189 UN countries?’
It denounces the fact that recent events on the Caribbean island were organized by social networks, in the style of ‘color revolutions’ and were quickly and widely disseminated by the media.
It also warns that provocative demonstrations in front of ‘the Cuban embassy and consulate in Brazil only reaffirm that it is an operation orchestrated internationally on behalf of US imperialism, to which the Brazilian government has pledged total submission.’
‘We will join our Cuban brothers and sisters in defense of their revolution and the right to sovereignty of the peoples’, the MLCP-Br underlines at the end.
