Russian military transport plane crashes outside Moscow

Moscow, Aug 17 (Prensa Latina) A Russian Il-112V military transport plane crashed during landing near the Kubinka airfield, on the outskirts of this capital, after a training flight, local press reported.

According to the emergency services, none of the three crew members survived.

The Russian company United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) indicated that the details of the incident are being investigated and a commission will be created to find out the causes of the accident.

The Il-112V is a Russian light military transport aircraft being developed by one of the subsidiaries of Rostec, a state-run company promoting the development, production and export of high-tech industrial products for the civil and defense sectors. The Il-112V is a two-turboprop-engine plane and with a service ceiling of 7,600 meters.
